Daniel Tammet Different Ways of Knowing Response

After watching the Ted Talk's on Daniel Tammet, I had to applaud him for the fact that even though he is a savant and autistic, he didn't seem like it. My Reaction to Len Lye

When watching the Len Lye film in class, my immediate reaction to the film was that it reminded me of pizza. In the beginning of the film, we see shapes coming across the screen that showed some triangles with circles on them giving me the impression of a pepperoni pizza. Maybe I was a bit hungry. As the film went on, I noticed that the music and the shapes and lines coming on the screen moved in rhythm to the music. It was like the music was taking physical shape, creating patterns upon patterns. The amount of work that went into the film was impressive and I'm excited to see what else we watch in class.
